Tamil Nadu SET eligibility criteria are given below. Candidates can ensure that our eligibility is complete and start applying online TNSET Application Form 2024:

Candidates must have obtained at least 55% marks in a Master’s degree or equivalent examination from universities/institutions recognized by the UGC (University Grants Commission).

Candidates belonging to SC, ST, Persons with Disability (PWD), or Third Gender categories must have a Master’s degree with 50% marks.

Those who are currently studying for their master’s degree or equivalent, or are waiting for the results of their final year examinations can also apply for TNSET Application Form 2024.

Provisional admission is granted to candidates who have passed their master’s degree or equivalent examination within two years from the date of the TNSET result.

PhD Degree holders, applicants who have completed their Master’s level examination before 19 September 1991 are awarded 5% marks.

Candidates whose post-graduation subjects are not included in the list of TN SET subjects can opt for the UGC-NET or Joint CSIR-UGC Test.

Candidates possessing a Post Graduate Diploma/Certificate from Indian or Foreign Universities must ensure equivalence of their qualification with an Indian Master’s degree recognized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi (www.aiu.ac.in).
